Águas do Tejo Atlântico, through its wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), has a set of technical infrastructures available to integrate the project into the field of conventional aerobic activated sludge processes and anaerobic sludge digestion processes.
The team at ADTA will work mainly on applying sludge pre-treatment technologies. In particular, they will be responsible for:
- Economic and environmental assessment of the current urban organic waste management systems.
- Assessment of the influence of pre-treatment tests on the physical and chemical properties of the sludge.
